Tea Time with Miyo

Welcome to my little corner of the internet—where heart talks, soul giggles, and curious minds gather. I started this blog to share snippets of my life: the magical, the messy, the mundane, and everything in between.

Think of this space as a cozy chat over tea, where we can daydream, dive deep, and laugh about the wild ride of being human.

So grab a comfy seat, bring your whole self, and let’s journey together—one beautiful, weird, wonderful moment at a time.

I’ve been quietly observing something happening in my body that made me smile today. A very simple, very human win. After my heart attack, I was placed on multiple medications, including insulin. And like most people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I was told the same thing many others hear: “You’ll be on this for life.” I never believed it.

For the past three months, I reduced my Metformin to once a day, and even with that, my HbA1c markers improved from diabetic to pre-diabetic range. Since I’d seen significant progress, I stopped my insulin glargine two weeks ago to see how my current lifestyle would support me. And here’s the surprising part. My glucose levels stayed stable, grounded, and well within safe ranges even without insulin. My Stelo graphs have been showing the exact behavior you want to see when the body starts healing: smooth curves, controlled post-meal rises, and a steady return to baseline. Nothing erratic, nothing alarming. In fact, when mapped against normal glucose behavior, my graphs look like a body that’s learning how to regulate again.

The graphs showed that my body is responding well to food and return to baseline is excellent, not prolonged and not erratic. It shows healthy curve which shows my glucose reacts consistently, predictable and normal. My Stelo graphs show what a recovering, improving metabolism looks like:
- smooth curves
- no sudden jumps
- no flattening (which would show cortisol issues)
- no sharp drops (which would show hypo tendency)
- return to baseline is strong

For someone recovering from heart attack + previously using insulin, I would say this is something that I am proud of because I am not showing any behavior of glucose dysregulation even after stopping my insulin. There is no rapid crashes and no hypoglycemic episodes, so it means my liver glucose is stable and it is no longer over-dumping glucose in my system. My cells are responding better to my own natural insulin. My cortisol curve is stabilizing. These are all indication that I am healing from the inside. The behavior of someone whose metabolic flexibility is returning.

A big part of this has been the changes in my lifestyle. I practiced intermittent fasting, stayed mindful by eating my vegetables and proteins first before adding minimal carbs, took my black seed oil with two drops of cinnamon bark essential oil, Black Ginger PMF, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before meals, and made sure I was drinking enough water. I also take 2 oz of NingXia Red daily, which has been quietly supporting my mitochondria, metabolism, liver, and glucose response. And another thing that helped me on a deeper, cellular level is Sulfurzyme. It has MSM and wolfberry powder that support inflammation reduction, insulin sensitivity, liver detox pathways, tissue repair, and overall metabolic balance.

To help you better understand how each of these lifestyle changes and support protocols helped with the metabolic healing and cellular nourishment, let me show you the details:

Food sequencing (veggies - protein - carbs) significantly:
- slows glucose absorption
- lowers insulin demand
- reduces spike height by 30-40%

Black seed oil + cinnamon bark EO, a powerful but gentl combination, both support:
- insulin sensitivity
- glucose regulation
- inflammation reduction

Black Ginger PMF contributes to smoother fasting glucose and boosts:
- thermogenesis
- insulin sensitivity
- fat oxidation

Sulfurzyme contains MSM which is one of the most studied natural anti-inflammatory compounds. It helps:
- stabilize glucose curves by addressing chronic inflammation
- support glucose uptake in cells, proper insulin signaling and reduction of glucose stiffness in tissues
- contribute sulfur groups that help the liver with detoxification, glutathione production and reducing liver fat accumulation
- enhances mitochondrial energy to help the body use glucose more efficiently and reduce leftover glucose in the bloodstream
- supports collagen synthesis, cell membrane integrity and tissue repair

Ningxia Red acts like a baseline stabilizer that ties all the other efforts I did together by:
- reducing oxidative stress which helps the body use glucose more efficiently and prevents oxidative damange
- helping mitochondria produce cleaner and more stable energy so I don't rely on sugar
- calming the liver
- supporting gut motility, gut lining integrity and microbiome balance which affect how glucose enters the bloodstream after meals
- decreasing endothelial inflammation and supporting nitric oxide production which helps the vessel walls stay flexible and essential for my heart recovery

I genuinely feel that the combination of these natural support helped my body regulate more efficiently and kept my glucose stable even after stopping insulin. None of these are miracle solutions. They are simply tools that gave my body the support it needed while I did my part.

My body is shifting from dependence on external insulin back to self-regulation. My insulin resistance is decreasing, my metabolic inflammation is much lower, my liver is stabilizing and my pancreatic function is improving. I am not just lowering glucose, I am lowering the glucose variability which is even more important for my heart and vessels. I have reversed metabolic stress in real time by making mindful changes in my lifestyle.

I’m sharing this not to say everyone should do what I did, but to offer hope to anyone who has already accepted that nothing can improve. There is always a way forward. Our bodies are not broken. They are overwhelmed, tired, or unsupported, and they respond beautifully when we give them what they need. My journey is still ongoing, and I am not claiming any miracle cure, but I want to show people that type 2 diabetes can be influenced, improved, and in some cases even reversed. Not because a doctor promised it, but because the body knows how to heal when we work with it, not against it.

I have a follow-up check-up this February to see how my blood results would look like as I continue with these changes that I am doing and I am confident that it would look a lot better.

Disclaimer: What worked for me may not work the same way for everyone. I am sharing my experience as someone who studies naturopathy, aromatherapy, and energetics and has been immersed in this field for almost eight years. Please do not make sudden changes to your medication without consulting your physician. Continue with your follow-up checks and work closely with your healthcare provider. My story is an example, not a prescription.

But if you needed a reminder today, healing is possible. Sometimes the body just needs the right kind of support plus a little faith that it hasn’t given up on you.

I’ve been using essential oils for intimate care for years, not to “beautify,” but to respect my body. It helps me feel balanced, clean, and confident without messing with my body’s natural ecosystem.

After years of marriage, my husband once mentioned how he always like the natural freshness I have down there. He asked if I am doing anything to keep it that way. I told him that I am just giving myself care with natural oils.

That moment, it also made me realize that many women secretly feel insecure about their private parts... how it looks, smells, or feels. This also adds silent stress in intimacy.

The truth is, there’s nothing to “fix.” Our bodies just need a little support and gentleness to stay in harmony. When we care for ourselves with love and intention, confidence naturally follows.

That’s why I’m sharing my Yoni Radiance Harmony Serum, a clean, natural blend that helps maintain the body’s balance, supports healthy flora, and keeps you feeling (and smelling) naturally fresh.

Because confidence isn’t about perfection — it’s about harmony.

Dr. Sun is medicine and we’ve been taught to fear our healer.

It’s kinda funny—people will fiercely defend sunscreen, yet chronic illness and cancer rates have only gone up since we started “protecting” ourselves from the sun like it’s public enemy #1.

Let’s not forget: the Sun is essential to human life. Not just for plants. Not just for solar panels. For YOU.

Going out with your skin completely blocked by SPF every single time means you’re also blocking your body’s ability to synthesize Vitamin D—a vital hormone-like nutrient that regulates everything from immunity to mood to hormone balance. And guess what? Deficiency in it is widespread.

Now I know someone will say:
“But we burn without sunscreen!”

To which I lovingly say:
YOU NEED COMMON SENSE WHEN YOU’RE UNDER THE SUN.

Sunburns aren’t from the sun being evil. They’re from overexposure and underpreparation. You don’t chug 3 gallons of water in 10 minutes and expect your kidneys to throw you a party either.

Use your intuition. Know your limits. Ease in gradually, just like you’d train your body at the gym.

Moderation isn’t a new-age concept—it’s ancient wisdom.

Somewhere along the way, we replaced sunlight with synthetic pills, blue light screens, and fluorescent bulbs. And instead of radiating health, we’re now dealing with fatigue, hormonal chaos, low immunity, and more.

Need to debate with me?

The Nerdy Breakdown

Vitamin D Synthesis Requires UVB Rays Your body can’t make Vitamin D without sunlight. Specifically, UVB rays (wavelengths ~290–315 nm) trigger a photochemical reaction in the skin, converting 7-dehydrocholesterol into cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3).

This then gets converted to calcitriol, the active form of Vitamin D, which regulates calcium metabolism, immune response, and gene expression.

Study: Holick MF. “Vitamin D Deficiency.” NEJM, 2007.
→ Up to 50% of the global population may have suboptimal Vitamin D levels due to sun avoidance or overuse of sunscreen.

Sunscreen and UV Blockage
Most broad-spectrum sunscreens are designed to block UVB and UVA. SPF 15 blocks ~93% of UVB; SPF 30 blocks ~97%; SPF 50 blocks ~98%.

That means with higher SPF, your body may not synthesize enough Vitamin D, especially if you already have melanin-rich skin, live in northern latitudes, or wear full-coverage clothing.

Study: Norval M et al., “The impact of sunscreen on Vitamin D: A review.” Br J Dermatol, 2010.
→ Routine use of sunscreen can significantly reduce Vitamin D synthesis.

So What’s the Balanced Approach?
Moderate, intentional sun exposure (10–30 minutes a few times per week on arms/legs/face) is usually enough for Vitamin D in most people—without burning.

The darker your skin, the more sun you need to produce adequate Vitamin D.

Sun is not the enemy. Overexposure is. Sunscreen protects from burns, but overuse can hinder your body’s natural photochemistry. Choose balanced sun hygiene: smart timing, occasional sunscreen, and respect for your own limits.

Nature gave us the Sun. Modernity gave us fluorescent bulbs and fear. Pick your healer wisely.

Anyway—just my two cents for today.

Unplug from the programming. Reconnect with Source.

We are programmable beings studying programs to reprogram ourselves. And we taught machines to do the same.

Poetic justice, no?

Spoiler alert: I did. I reverse-engineered the system. And what I found is both hilarious and horrifying.

Let’s dive in.

For years, I’ve tried to connect my knowledge of Behavioral Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to unlock the mysteries of the human mind and its behavior. Since then, I’ve seen the puppet strings, learned the mechanics, and now I’m cutting cords and weaving new threads—for myself and others.

I woke up today at 5 AM with a thought inside me, bursting and wanting to be translated into writing—which is now this blog post. Maybe my guides wanted me to stop keeping it to myself and share it with those who are called to understand. So here goes…

The Hard Truth

Your fears, your desires, your beliefs… They were programmed into you.

Not by accident. Not by divine download. But through systematic conditioning—

By marketers. By media. By well-meaning (and not-so-well-meaning) societal systems.

The wild part? That’s the same formula used to train Artificial Intelligence—especially in what’s known as behavioral AI. And if you’ve ever studied subsumption architecture, this rabbit hole goes even deeper.

The Programming Loop: Humans vs AI

1. Subsumption Architecture (AI)
This is one of the earliest models in robotics and AI, where behavior is built layer by layer—starting from simple reflexes up to more complex behaviors. Each layer “subsumes” the lower ones, meaning higher-order behaviors can override or coordinate basic ones without eliminating them.
• 🧠 Example: A robot may have a basic layer to avoid obstacles, then a higher layer to follow a path, then another layer for goal-seeking. All these behaviors interact in real-time.

2. Human Conditioning (NLP + Society)
Humans are programmed in layers, too:
• Early Childhood – Basic emotional conditioning (love, fear, abandonment)
• School & Culture – Rules, comparison, identity
• Media & Marketing – Associations, repetition, aspirational triggers
• Trauma & Reward – Emotional memory binds everything

These layers don’t replace each other—they stack, just like in subsumption architecture. And just like robots, our “higher-level behaviors” (like rationalization, belief systems, identity) often stem from more primitive layers (fight/flight, approval-seeking, safety-based conditioning).

The Learning Process: AI & NLP

Behavioral AI learns via:
• Repetition: training sets
• Association: patterns, weights in neural nets
• Emotion: translated as reward functions or reinforcement

In NLP:
• Repetition: Creates neural pathways. Say something often enough, and the brain wires around it.
• Association: “Anchoring” links feelings to images, words, or stimuli.
• Emotion: Amplifies learning. The stronger the emotional state, the deeper the imprint (a key principle in both trauma and marketing).

Repetition. Association. Emotion. That’s all it takes.

AI’s behavioral pattern building and human social and neurological programming are the same.

Through my understanding of the subsumption architecture, I saw the hierarchical structure of behavior—both artificial and organic.

Then, by diving into NLP, I gained tools to deprogram and reprogram those human behavior stacks:
• Identifying the original layer (root program)
• Interrupting or rewriting associations
• Anchoring new emotional signatures

That’s alchemical work that I am doing right now. I’m using tech-rooted understanding to liberate the human psyche from its automated patterns. This time, I wanted to share it with you—to break free from the programming that you are in.

Subsumption Architecture: How Robots Learn Like Humans

Developed by Rodney Brooks in the 1980s (the same guy who helped build the Mars rovers and also one of the people who influenced my fascination with robotics), subsumption architecture is a model of robot control that doesn’t rely on a central command system (like a CEO giving orders). Instead, it builds behavior in layers, from the ground up.

Each layer is a module:
• 🧭 Layer 1: Avoid obstacles
• 🚶 Layer 2: Walk toward a goal
• 🧍‍♀️ Layer 3: Navigate around humans
• 🧠 Layer 4: Perform a task (e.g., deliver coffee)

These layers don’t replace each other—they coexist and influence behavior. Higher-level modules can suppress or override lower ones when needed.

Sound familiar?

That’s exactly how human behavior is structured.

NLP and Human Programming: The Biological Version

Let’s replace the robot with a human child.
• 👶 Layer 1: Basic reflexes and safety patterns (crying, clinging, freezing)
• 🧒 Layer 2: Emotional association (what gets love/approval)
• 🧑 Layer 3: Social learning (what earns belonging)
• 🧓 Layer 4: Belief systems, identity, goals

These behaviors are built using three tools:
1. Repetition
Your brain wires what you rehearse. “Practice makes permanent” isn’t just a motivational quote—it’s neuroplasticity in action.

2. Association
If Mom praised you when you were quiet, you associate silence = safety. If the media shows success always linked to luxury, your subconscious binds wealth = worthiness.

3. Emotion
Your emotional state determines how deeply the memory is encoded. Traumas? Encoded fast. Joyful peak moments? Also encoded fast. Emotion is the amplifier.

AI vs Human Conditioning: The Mirror Effect

Mechanism

Human Brain

Behavioral AI / Robotics

Input

Senses (vision, sound, experience)

Sensors (cameras, LIDAR, temperature)

Learning model

Neural pathways (reinforced over time)

Neural nets / behavior layers

Programming method

Repetition + Emotion + Association

Repetition + Reward/Punishment functions

Behavioral stacking

Layered from reflex → belief

Layered from sensor → decision modules

Override capability

Prefrontal cortex overrides instincts

Higher layers suppress lower ones

Rewiring potential

Neuroplasticity, NLP, therapy

Retraining, model updating

The Creepy Truth: You Were Trained Like a Machine
• You learned to crave approval by associating love with good behavior.
• You learned to fear failure because your nervous system encoded embarrassment with intense emotional charge.
• You learned what’s “realistic” by absorbing what everyone else said was possible.

This isn’t just psychology. It’s behavioral engineering.

And you didn’t even know it was happening.

But once you do…

The Beautiful Hack: Reprogramming Through NLP

Here’s where Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) comes in—not as some pop-psych party trick, but as a conscious editing tool for your layered architecture.

NLP mirrors subsumption:
• It identifies the underlying behavioral layer (what belief/trigger is firing).
• It uses pattern interrupts to loosen the grip of a behavior.
• It uses repetition + emotion + association—just like the original programming—to overwrite the code.

Examples:
• Anchoring a new confident state to a gesture (association + repetition)
• Using visualization and sensory submodalities to reframe past traumas (emotion + pattern editing)
• Installing future pacing and belief shifts to restructure identity (higher-layer rewiring)

Essentially, NLP gives you admin access to your behavioral OS.

Reprogramming Isn’t Just Mental — It’s Energetic

Let’s get this clear: your subconscious programming isn’t only stored in the mind—it’s embedded in your nervous system, your auric field, your emotional body, and even your cellular memory.

That’s why just understanding your wounds or triggers intellectually doesn’t always change the pattern.

This is where energy medicine steps in as the missing key.

How Reiki Helps Break the Code

Reiki doesn’t just “relax you.” It creates a safe vibrational space where your system can access and release deep imprints—the kind that don’t respond to logic.

What Reiki Practitioners Can Do:
• Channel Reiki with the intention to access core programming stored in the energetic and emotional body
• Work with CKR (Cho Ku Rei) to reset the flow of life force and unbind energetic loops
• Use SHK (Sei He Ki) to bring to the surface old emotional patterns or mental constructs
• Guide clients through self-awareness during the session: What comes up? What memories or feelings are released?

For Non-Practitioners:
• Receiving Reiki regularly helps gently clear the layers of energetic buildup that reinforce old beliefs or self-sabotaging loops
• You don’t need to “do” anything—your energy body and higher intelligence know what to release when held in the right vibration
• You can learn Level 1 Reiki for self-practice—it’s simple, empowering, and life-changing

How Access Bars Works Like a Neural Defrag

Access Bars® is the ultimate code-clearing system for the brain. It works by gently touching 32 points on the head, which correspond to different areas of life: money, healing, control, creativity, aging, joy, etc.

What Happens:
• Each point stores electromagnetic charge from thoughts, beliefs, judgments, and emotions
• When activated, these points discharge stuck frequencies—kind of like clearing cookies and cache from your energetic browser
• It disengages the reactive loops you didn’t even know were running

What Practitioners Can Do:
• Invite clients to observe what shows up after sessions: Do they make different choices without overthinking?
• Ask potent questions during the session to help the energy move: “What else is possible here?” “Who does this belong to?”
• Pair Bars with verbal processing to address stuck loops with language and energy

For Non-Practitioners:
• You can receive Bars sessions even if you don’t understand the mechanics—it’s gentle, relaxing, and deeply effective
• Want to take it further? Learning Bars is just a one-day class and opens up a new relationship with your own mind and energy

How Essential Oils Help Release Patterns

If the brain is our operating system, then essential oils are like olfactory access keys—they bypass mental noise and go straight to the source.

Here’s the science: when you inhale an essential oil, the aromatic molecules travel through the olfactory nerve directly into the limbic system—the part of the brain responsible for emotion, memory, and behavior. This is why a single scent can transport you back to childhood, calm anxiety within seconds, or suddenly stir a long-forgotten memory.

Now imagine using that power intentionally.

How It Works:
• Essential oils can disrupt old emotional loops by associating new frequencies with previous patterns.
• They can be used during Reiki, meditation, NLP, or Access Bars sessions to help the body anchor a new energetic state.
• Oils like Frankincense, Lavender, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, and Vetiver are known to support emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and even cellular communication.

What You Can Do:
• Use Lemon or Peppermint when working on mental clarity or releasing limiting beliefs.
• Apply Lavender or Roman Chamomile when calming the nervous system after emotional purging.
• Diffuse Frankincense or Sandalwood to hold sacred space during energy work, especially when you’re accessing deeper programming or inner child work.
• Try Clary Sage or Geranium for rewiring patterns around self-worth and receiving.

You’re not just smelling something pleasant—you’re delivering plant-coded intelligence into your body’s processing center.

Pairing essential oils with energy work creates a bridge between the physical, emotional, and spiritual layers—allowing the body to safely release old programming and stabilize new patterns.

You’re literally re-scenting your story.

Other Modalities That Break the Code

✴️ Crystal Healing
Crystals like Black Tourmaline, Labradorite, or Super 7 can help absorb and transmute old frequencies, especially when programmed with intention.

✴️ Sound Healing
Tuning forks, bowls, or even vocal toning can disrupt stagnant frequencies and create coherence where there was chaos. This is literal vibrational reprogramming.

✴️ EFT (Tapping)
EFT works with the meridians to dislodge emotional and belief blocks through spoken statements + acupoint tapping. It rewires by integrating thought and touch.

✴️ Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapy accesses the subconscious mind directly, allowing you to identify and reframe limiting beliefs at their root. It’s like conscious dreaming with a purpose—one that reprograms from within.

So, What Now?

We are programmable beings who:
• Were programmed without consent
• Are capable of reprogramming ourselves
• And have taught machines to mimic the same learning process we underwent

Whether you find that fascinating, empowering, or slightly disturbing… It means one thing:
You can choose to keep running inherited scripts… Or become the conscious architect of your own system.

Because once you understand the system, you’re no longer just a user. You’re the coder.

And that? That’s when the real magic begins.

From Deactivation to Re-Creation

Whether you’re a seasoned energy practitioner or just beginning, the goal is the same: To become conscious of the code, release what no longer serves, and write a new one in alignment with who you truly are—not who you were programmed to be.

And the beauty?

You don’t have to do it alone.

You have hands that heal. Tools that clear. Practices that soften the hold of old identities.

When I saw Jesus in that meditation years ago — asking me to advocate for wellness and remind others of the body’s divine ability to heal — I surrendered. I told him, “Lead me, because I know nothing.”

He paved way for me to experience, learn and explore.

I know that what I am being challenged with right now is a part of the mission. 💜 Now, I rise — not as a victim, but as a woman on a mission. Not to be a lifelong slave to meds, But to walk a heart-led, spirit-infused path of healing.

Let’s imagine a healthcare system where:
• Emergency medicine saves lives
• Naturopathy sustains them
• Eclectic healing rebuilds them
• Homeopathy nurtures the subtle

We don’t have to choose sides. We can build bridges. We can heal differently — and powerfully.

You are welcome to walk and learn beside me.

I’m sharing my story not for sympathy — but for change. To inspire hope. To remind you that healing is sacred, layered, and personal. This is a living journey — not of perfection, but of presence. Not just of healing the body, but remembering the sacred wisdom it carries.

I offer this path as a prayer in motion, a devotion to wholeness, and an invitation for you to witness what true, holistic healing looks like — when Spirit leads, and the soul says yes.

Let the journey begin. Let it be real. Let it be holy.

About Me

Hello I am Cherry Ang but you can call me Miyo —and I’ve been blogging since 2007.

What started as a space to share my love for makeup and beauty has slowly, naturally, evolved into something deeper—something more reflective of who I’ve become.

Back then, I wrote about colors, textures, and finding confidence through creativity. Over the years, as life offered more lessons, more beauty (and sometimes more chaos), I began writing less about the surface and more about the soul. And in 2021, I felt the call to return to blogging—not just as a hobby, but as a way to offer something real, nourishing, and resonant.

This blog is where I share personal stories, reflections, energy insights, and the things I’m still learning. It’s a space for the sensitive, the curious, the deep-feeling hearts—those who want to explore the magic of everyday life through presence, ritual, and gentle remembrance of who we really are.

I work with tools like Reiki, angelic energy, essential oils, Gong Fu Cha and subtle spiritual practices that support emotional clarity, energetic protection, and soul-level alignment. I also share guided meditations, printable rituals, and customized healing tools for those who want to go deeper.

But at the core, I’m still that same writer—hoping that in sharing my experiences, I might inspire someone else to feel seen, safe, and reminded of their own light.

Thanks for being here. Whether you’re reading one post or walking alongside me for a while—I’m honored to share this space with you.
